5 Best Dietitians in Philadelphia That Will Give You Expert Nutrition Care

We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Credentialing and Training: We verified that each practice employs licensed Registered Dietitians (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDN) with proper clinical backgrounds.

This ensures you receive evidence-based advice rather than generic fitness tips.

Insurance Compatibility: We assessed how easily each provider works with major healthcare networks to lowe out-of-pocket costs. Many top practices offer fully covered visits to keep counseling accessible.

Approach to Care: Our team looked for personalized methodologies that move away from strict, unsustainable dieting structures. We focused on providers who target long-term habit changes.

Scheduling and Availability: We evaluated the flexibility of appointment formats, including virtual telehealth options and physical office locations. This helps busy individuals fit regular consultations into their weekly routines.

Finding the right path to wellness can feel overwhelming when you’re sorting through generic meal plans and conflicting health advice.

While some people look into holistic care from a local naturopath or visit aesthetic clinics for external self-care, true vitality starts from within.

Working with a professional can transform your relationship with food, help you manage a medical condition, or improve your athletic performance.

That’s why we’ve gathered the top experts in the area to help you find the best dietitian in Philadelphia to support your personal health journey without the usual stress or restrictive guilt.

1. OnPoint Nutrition

Website: https://www.onpoint-nutrition.com/

Address: 503 E Washington Ave

Contact: 609-281-8995

Hours: Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM

If you’re tired of restrictive eating plans, an anti-diet nutrition coaching program focused on sustainable behavior change could be exactly what you need.

OnPoint Nutrition delivers personalized one-on-one coaching with Registered Dietitians (RDs) who build custom nutrition structures instead of placing clients into generic programs.

What’s great about this center is that you get to learn the science behind food choices, too, so you can confidently navigate grocery aisles on your own. They even have digital tracking tools that will help you keep track of your intake.

However, some clients have reported occasional communication issues with the administrative team when trying to adjust schedules.

Plus, provider continuity might vary if an assigned coach transitions out of the practice unexpectedly, which can temporarily disrupt progress.

Pros

  • Personalized 1-on-1 dietitian coaching
  • Sustainable anti-diet philosophy
  • Custom nutrition plans
  • Helpful digital tracking tools

Cons

  • Administrative communication delays
  • Potential provider changes

Made many positive changes in my diet

Since becoming a client at Onpoint I have made many positive changes in my diet.  My dietitian, Nicole, has been so helpful in educating me about the different food groups.  The input and suggestions I get from her has allowed me to be successful at learning how to eat in a balanced, healthy way.  I’ve been losing weight without feeling restricted or like I’m on a “diet.”

Keep me on track with my daily diet

If you’ve never worked with a nutritionist before OnPoint is great. The program is customizable to achieve different health goals and my nutritionist, Brooke, was great about answering questions and helping to create a personal program for me. She definitely helped to fix some of my bad habits and put a plan together that I can follow to keep me on track with my daily diet.

2. Be Well with Beth

Website: https://www.bewellwithbethphl.com/

Address: 1901 S. 9th St, Bok Building, Room 508

Contact: 267-281-3363

Hours: Not listed

Be Well with Beth operates out of South Philadelphia and designs fully customized counseling programs that fit naturally into your daily routine.

They cater primarily to mothers, offering strong specialization in maternal wellness, pregnancy nutrition, and postpartum health, so you’re guided safely through these major life changes.

To make communications and ongoing support easier, the company established an electronic client portal that you can access at any time of the day.

However, because the branding leans heavily toward maternal care, individuals without children may feel a bit out of place during consultations.

In addition, the coaching style is built around small, steady habit changes rather than strict meal plans.

Because of that, more advanced fitness enthusiasts may feel the guidance is a bit too basic for their specific performance needs or intense training schedules.

Pros

  • Tailored lifestyle coaching integration
  • Specialized maternal wellness support
  •
  • Electronic client portal access

Cons

  •
  • Limited advanced fitness protocols

Compassionate and incredibly knowledgeable

Beth is compassionate and incredibly knowledgeable about movement, nutrition and what it means to be a busy parent. Her exercise classes are wonderful, she fosters an amazing collaborative growth mindset with her Reset cohorts, and her positive energy brings it all together and makes it work. A wonderful experience, it has changed my life for the better. Her exercise classes got me back into regular physical activity, and her practical low-key nutrition counseling techniques have me eating in a way that feels better for me. Recommend to one and all!

Couldn’t recommend more

Beth of Be Well With Beth has created an amazing refresh program for people with young families. The program takes into account how busy parents are while also pushing you to take care of yourself, to fill your own cup and to feel yourself again.  Beth runs workout classes, a private nutrition practice and the refresh and gets the struggles and joys of being a parent to young kids deeply.  Couldn’t recommend more!

Founder Claudia Hleap-Knight is a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) with advanced expertise in diabetes and prediabetes care.

She works alongside Jessica Bosworth, a registered dietitian who specializes in weight management and women’s health.

I actually spoke directly with Jessica recently, and she explained how her background in art and design helps her simplify complex nutrition science into practical strategies for everyday life.

I also like that the practice offers both in-office appointments and virtual consultations. Just keep in mind that their small team means appointment slots can fill up quickly.

Cons

Makes everything very accessible

I’ve been working with Claudia for 8 months and she’s really made all the difference as I continue focusing on my health. Working with her is completely different than any other experience I’ve had with a dietitian/nutritionist. She makes everything very accessible and focuses on sustainable changes that don’t feel restrictive or further complicate your choices. At an absolute minimum, her post appointment recaps and goals give you a clear roadmap of how to simplify feeding yourself on a daily basis without the baggage of diet culture.

For anyone looking for a registered dietitian nutritionist

Thanks to Claudia, I’ve been able to maintain a steady progress towards my nutrition goals. She is incredibly knowledgable and truly works with you to improve your relationship with food and how your body handles your diet. I can’t recommend Hleap Nutrition enough for anyone looking for a registered dietitian nutritionist!

Hours:

  • Monday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

When you want to track your fitness progress using data rather than scale weight alone, high-tech tools can make a real difference. Yummy Body Nutrition uses an advanced body composition analysis machine to track fat and muscle balance over time.

To help you break free from your frustrating dieting cycles, their registered dieticians will make sure to focus on sustainable behavior changes that you can adapt while in the program.

I like that the practice also offers both in-person visits and virtual telehealth options across the region, which gives you the flexibility to access care based on your convenience.

Sadly, while they coordinate with major insurance networks, coverage isn’t always guaranteed across every plan. As a result, some clients may still encounter out-of-pocket copays or session limits that can affect long-term care planning.

Pros

  • Advanced InBody composition technology
  • Registered Dietitian-led care
  • In-person and virtual options
  • Insurance network collaboration

Cons

  • Unsecured insurance approval

Everything that you want in a dietitian

Ha is everything that you want in a dietitian.  She has the education, experience, latest technology and resources to help you meet your weight loss goals.  Ha wants to know you, the client, and your weight loss plan is customized.  Ha is also a very nice person and you will look forward to meeting with her and her office near the Liberty Bell is very convenient.

I knew that I had to exercise and to eat the right foods to lose weight.  My trainer recommended Ha to me and I highly recommend Ha to everyone.

Helping me stay on track with my diet

I have worked with Yummy Body for almost a year now and it has helped me immensely! With lots of changes going in my life from transition from college to a full time job during a pandemic, I have found it so helpful to have someone helping me stay on track with my diet. I am currently working with Jennifer and she has been great so far! I would recommend to anyone looking to make a change in their eating habits!

  • Friday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Cultural food traditions and improved health can often feel like a difficult balancing act. Nutritiously Yours provides culturally affirming anti-diet nutrition care with a Latina-centered approach to wellness.

Their bilingual team actively rejects restrictive food rules, so traditional dishes like cultural rice plates are never excluded from your wellness journey.

In practice, they emphasize behavior-based health metrics to support clients managing chronic conditions like type 2 diabetes.

However, because they operate strictly on an intuitive eating framework, they may not be a good fit for clients seeking rapid weight loss.

You won’t be able to find rigid calorie counting or structured meal plans here, since they don’t use weight as a measure of health success.

Pros

  • Culturally responsive nutrition support
  • Weight-neutral intuitive eating focus
  • Bilingual Spanish-speaking practitioners
  • Traditional food inclusion emphasis

Cons

  • No rapid weight loss options
  • Missing structured calorie tracking
