All time pasta spot by the Italian market. Flavors are all on point and the seasonal ingredients were fresh and perfect for the dishes. Highly recommend getting their gnocchi which is about as light as it gets. Great drinks and wine selection as well.

Absolutely amazing! Every dish was phenomenal and the pasta was just so fresh and perfectly cooked. Among the best Italian food my wife and I have had in the US. Some photos were after I took a bite because I just couldn’t resist! So presentation was excellent but I messed some of the photos up. Make sure to make reservations well in advance as the venue is small and they fill up fast. Can’t wait to come back!

The shrimp diavalo was outstanding
As two English girls in Philadelphia this was a fabulous American-Italian dining experience. Our waitress Alexis was brilliant, the bread warm served with gorgeous olive oil and followed by a hearty bowl of pasta. The Shrimp diavalo was outstanding.

But the real stars here are the pastas. Everything is made from scratch, including the pasta and bread, and you can truly taste the difference.
Their pasta menu is all about classic Italian comfort food, with each dish covered in flavorful, colorful sauces that make every noodle taste amazing.
In fact, guests have raved about dishes like the Cacio e Pepe, with one diner saying it was as good as what they had in Rome!
Just keep in mind, if you’re coming for lunch, they serve only a strict prix fixe menu, so you won’t be able to order à la carte.

Dinner was delightful. The chicken genovese was flavorful and moist. The cook staff were willing to customize my meal so I didn’t have to have the general pasta as my side. Although I’m certain the way they serve it is great, I just didn’t want the pasta. Our server, Joseph, was the absolute best. He was attentive, accommodating and never made us feel rushed. I highly recommend Osteria Ama!

Absolutely delicious seafood pasta
We had the seafood pasta special – so generous with the seafood and absolutely delicious. The grilled octopus appetizer was just as good! We split both items and even had leftovers to take home for a lunch. We will come back again!

Visiting Ralph’s Italian Restaurant is like stepping right into local history. They’re a family-owned landmark that’s been serving the neighborhood for more than a hundred years.
The fourth and fifth generations of the founding family still run the place, which keeps everything feeling friendly and familiar.
On the food side, you’ll get huge plates of comforting, old-school noodles that are perfect if you’re craving something classic. A guest told us that the portions are so generous, and the flavors taste just like home.
Another nice touch is their valet parking, which makes arriving totally stress-free.
Just know that the menu sticks to tradition, so don’t expect trendy twists or modern fusion dishes.
Perfectly cooked pasta
I finally got to try Ralph’s, the oldest restaurant in Philly, and it did not disappoint! The historic ambiance added so much charm to the dining experience. We ordered the Linguine Pescatore and Eggplant Parmigiana, both were absolutely delicious.
The Linguine Pescatore was a standout, with perfectly cooked pasta, a flavorful sauce, and plenty of fresh seafood. The Eggplant Parmigiana was equally impressive—rich, comforting, and full of flavor. Great food, historical, and excellent service make this a must-visit spot! I can’t wait to come back and try more from the menu!

The pasta was so good
I always wanted to dine at Ralph’s and it exceeded my expectations. The pasta was so good, the red sauce was incredible, and the meatballs were outstanding.
