The only thing I didn’t notice was any eco-friendly practices like sustainable materials or energy-efficient solutions. Not necessarily a dealbreaker, but if that matters to you, it’s probably worth bringing up early.

Mr. Contractor takes pride in being a family-run business that has been operating for over 70 years. Unlike larger corporate contracting firms, their size allows for more direct communication and closer attention to detail throughout a project.
Things usually kick off with a free home visit. They come out, take a look around, and actually spend time talking through what you’re trying to do before anything gets locked in.
They handle a bit of everything—full home renovations, kitchen updates, bathroom remodels, and smaller fixes in between. With historic properties, they seem to have a good sense of balance.
Instead of replacing everything, they focus on updating while keeping the original character intact—things like preserving trim or shaping new additions so they blend into the existing structure.
That said, I did come across a few clients who mentioned that larger projects, especially in older houses, don’t always stay on schedule.
