Nailing down a corporate look without feeling stiff is often the hardest part of a photo session. Luckily, Happy Hour Headshot Philadelphia takes a refreshingly casual approach.

They meet clients at local cafes to discuss goals before stepping outside for the shoot. This pre-shoot chat helps ease those typical on-camera nerves.

Having personally booked a session with their team last year, I found the cafe meetup incredibly effective at calming my anxiety before we hit the streets.

You also have the massive advantage of a risk-free pricing model where you only pay for the final images you genuinely love.

Plus, they only require a small refundable deposit to secure your slot.

Their outdoor lifestyle approach also means you get a great variety of natural backdrops around the city.

Just keep in mind that relying entirely on outdoor settings leaves your shoot vulnerable to unpredictable weather changes. You will also need to wait about seven to ten business days to receive your finalized edits.

Pros

  • Risk-free pricing model
  • Guided shoot and image consultation
  • Multiple natural backdrop options
  • Discounted commercial add-on rates

Cons

  • Unpredictable outdoor backgrounds
  • Slower seven to ten-day turnaround

Great price, high-volume pictures

Chris was awesome. As a Realtor, your headshot is the vast majority of people’s impression of who you are. If you don’t have a great headshot you’re leaving business on the table. I spent about 15 minutes to get 200 plus pictures at a great price. For the small amount of money I invested, I can say for sure that it will pay for itself many many times over. The attached picture isn’t touched up yet and still looks amazing. Thanks Chris!

Friendly, professional, and fast retouching

Had an excellent experience shooting corporate headshots with Chris yesterday.  This is my first experience shooting headshots and Chris was friendly, professional, and an excellent photographer.  Also, I shot yesterday and Chris has already sent me my entire file and retouched the photos that I requested.  Thanks Chris!

Stepping into a fully equipped studio makes a massive difference in how prepared you feel before the camera clicks.

Philadelphia Headshot by Laura Eaton Photography operates out of a spacious Old City location designed with your absolute comfort in mind. The space features dedicated preparation areas for wardrobe adjustments and minor touch-ups.

You also have the option to design custom, narrative-driven portrait sessions built around your unique profession.

One of our colleagues recently booked an environmental shoot here and raved about the relaxed warm-up period that helped melt away their initial camera shyness. It’s a highly collaborative process that yields authentic results.

Their standard baseline sessions include dedicated time buffers just for getting situated. You’ll need to arrive with your hair and makeup fully complete, as their facilities are meant for quick touch-ups rather than full styling.

Finding an appointment slot might also be difficult since they have limited weekend availability.

  • Comfortable wardrobe and touch-up areas
  • Built-in warm-up time to relax

Cons

  • Limited weekend booking options

Calm and chill photographer nailed it

I find the whole process of headshots painful, but my experience getting headshots with Laura was really great. In contrast to other photographers which I feel make it more stressful (“big smile” – ugh!), Laura is the essence of calm and chill. It’s easy to relax with her, and that really came out in the pictures – she nailed it. I’ll be recommending her to everyone, and I’ll be back.

Comfortable outdoor session and quick retouching

I was very happy with the headshot I received! Larua made me laugh during the session, and I felt very comfortable in front of the camera. Not only was the retouching done well, it was done quickly. Can’t ask for better service. We did an outdoor headshot in Old City which is also a great place to get a coffee and something to eat. I will be recommending her to all of my friends in the area.

Collaborative session for best angles

Matthew and I had a great headshot and portfolio session in his studio. He collaborated well with me in capturing the best angles and versions of myself. He helped me pose and adjust to the camera and was flexible to hear my ideas and thoughts while also sharing his expertise. I highly recommend working with Matthew if you want a great, encouraging, friendly photoshoot for any of your needs.

Accommodating photographer makes you laugh

This was an awesome experience! I love the photos and Matthew is truly awesome. Not only was it professional and amazing work, but I had a fun time! Honestly I don’t smile well, but Matthew will make you bust a stitch laughing and will catch it at just the right time!! Can’t recommend him enough. He was very accommodating. He understood exactly what the photos were for, and understands his cliental and their needs. Although these were professional headshots, I will absolutely have to come back to have more photos with him with the entire family in the near future!
