Mecca of Philly tennis
Will, first of all, I’m actually home! My roots in some of my first tennis tournaments were here back in 1983. The facility and grounds have been remodeled and of course, the people and players are still some of the most hospitable there is. So for me currently living in Hampton as a tennis mecca, it was the mecca of Philly that saw me in the USTA Adult Summer League Championships in Tucson, Arizona not once but twice. Not bad for a guy that never played college ball.

Beautiful history, lovely ambiance
Beautiful history, lovely ambiance. It is a private club, with generous reciprocity. Our children, now adults, learned squash and court tennis from ages 6 and up. The pros are world class, the court facilities are five star. It is, after all, an athletic club, situated in an architecturally historic building. Managing expectations, this is not a Michelin dining facility, but it is a place where premium tennis is taught, played, and promulgated. The premises, the building, and the many club events reflect the care and thought of its intention.

Amazing facility for squash and racquets
Amazing facility for squash, court tennis, and racquets. The four-story building has a pool, women’s and men’s locker rooms, several dining facilities, and beautiful open event space. The staff is incredible, and members are able to enjoy a spacious, welcoming environment for sport and social affairs. The mix of classic architecture and modern amenities makes every visit feel like a small event, even when you are just stopping by for a quick workout after work.

A wonderful and historic place for the institution of tennis in the Germantown neighborhood of Philly! Well kept and spacious, an exceptionally peaceful and naturally beautiful site for all. Warm and welcoming instructors
I’ve been going to Court 16 since July. I’ve never played tennis before. All of the instructors have been very warm and welcoming. The classes are structured in a way where you can learn the fundamentals, but still have a very good time playing and enjoying your time there. Even once when there was a miscommunication about a class being canceled due to an instructor being out sick, they were very kind to add a free class to my account since I still ended up showing up.

So much fun for my bachelorette
My friends and I had so much fun at Court 16 as an activity for my bachelorette weekend! We had a mix of total beginner and experienced tennis players in my party and we all were able to have so much fun playing together on the court. A huge thank you to Coach Richard for leading us in some great drills and games, the whole staff was so welcoming. I cannot recommend Court 16 enough!

Super clean club with friendly staff. Amy and Kevin at the front counter are friendly and professional. Gary the Manager is also very friendly and approachable. Louie signed me up. Super cool. Linda is also very nice and helpful. Very happy with this club! The facility itself feels organized and well kept, and the consistency of the staff makes the whole experience feel welcoming every time I show up for a match or a workout session.

Kind staff and good camp
I would say overall it is a good place. I do camp here, which is good too. It is just really expensive to go to camp or to have a membership. The staff are really kind to everyone, which is a good thing because you wouldn’t want to go to a place with rude staff. I would definitely recommend this place to people. The variety of activities you can fit in across the facility makes it easier to stick with a routine, especially during the longer winter months.
