We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Surgeon Expertise and Credentials: We prioritized practices led by highly qualified professionals with extensive experience in maxillofacial procedures.

It’s essential that patients receive care from board-certified experts who understand complex jaw and mouth conditions.

Technology and Techniques: Our evaluation looked closely at the equipment each clinic uses for diagnostics and surgery. Advanced surgical tools and 3D imaging significantly improve both safety and precision during treatment.

Patient Care and Comfort: We considered how each practice manages pain and handles post-operative recovery instructions. A compassionate approach to patient comfort helps alleviate the natural anxiety that accompanies dental surgery.

Pricing and Transparency: Clear cost breakdowns are vital for patients planning their medical budgets. We looked for clinics that provide straightforward pricing and discuss financial options openly.

Reputation and Customer Feedback: We examined the consistency of positive outcomes reported by previous patients. A solid track record of successful procedures and attentive care strongly influenced our final selections.

Facing dental surgery often feels stressful and overwhelming. Many of us put off necessary procedures because we fear the pain or worry about the recovery process.

You deserve care that minimizes discomfort and prioritizes your long-term health. Whether you need a simple tooth extraction or complex dental implants, having the right professional by your side makes a huge difference.

I put together a guide to help you find the best oral surgeons in Philadelphia for your specific needs. We’ll look at several local practices offering specialized care to ensure you can walk into your next appointment with confidence and peace of mind.

How much does oral surgery cost in Philadelphia?

“Absolutely zen…”

From the consultation to the day of surgery it was a wonderful experience. The front office staff the absolutely best in customer service. The office is so warm and cozy. Just absolutely zen and beautiful! What really topped it off was when Dr. Nguyen called to check on my daughter to make sure she was doing good after her procedure. Thank you all and keep up to great work❤️

“She makes my decision easy…

Dr. Chi is definitely a “people person” and her willingness to take the time to explain all the nuisance of doing a dental implant and what works the best for my dental needs are the most impressive takeaway for my first consultation visit.  She makes my decision easy and I shall look forward to having her to perform my bone graft and dental implant.

“Happy with the work done”

Dr. Chi is a first rate oral surgeon. I had a major infection deep in one of my upper teeth  that required removal, a bone graft, some reconstruction work and an implant. The whole process took several months as we had to wait for things to heal before proceeding to the next step. Dr. Chi and her staff were consummate professionals throughout the process. Dr. Chi did a fabulous job. She was meticulous, detail oriented and very thorough. All in all, I was extremely happy with the work done.

3. Oral Surgery Consultants of Pennsylvania

oral-surgery-consultants-of-pennsylvania

Website: https://www.oralsurgerypa.com/

Address: 1601 Walnut Street, Suite 1207

Contact: 215-558-2400

Hours: Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Oral Surgery Consultants of Pennsylvania delivers a full scope of oral surgery backed by a specialized team. Every member is rigorously trained in Intravenous (IV) sedation and continuous patient monitoring.

In fact, their surgical assistants hold explicit certifications in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and sedation administration to prioritize your safety.

Much like consulting reputable orthopedic specialists in Philadelphia for complex bone injuries, working with board-certified oral surgeons ensures you receive the highest standard of structural care.

We love that the practice operates out of multiple established offices, making it relatively easy to schedule a visit in South Philadelphia or Center City.  They also actively try to accommodate same-day appointments for patients dealing with severe pain.

But because they handle these complex emergencies, procedure times occasionally run long and cause unexpected schedule delays for other patients.

Pros

  • Staffed by board-certified surgeons
  • Multiple convenient office locations
  • Assistants certified in sedation administration
  • Accommodates same-day emergency visits

Cons

  • Frequent schedule delays

Customer Reviews:

“Friendly atmosphere”

My experience at Oral Surgery June 20th was a good one, the assistants were great and had a friendly atmosphere, Dr. Hoang was very cordial and explained the procedure and answered any questions asked.  I had #31 extracted that was covered with a bridge that had to be cut first.  Dr. Hoang assured me it would be quick, and quick it was , he did a masters of a job.  I definitely recommend Oral Surgery Consultants @16th and Walnut Medical Arts Bldg.

“THE BEST experience…”

This is THE BEST experience I’ve ever had with an oral surgeon’s office. I literally cannot wait until next year to have the next implant done. I was eating and in no pain within a few hours. Dr Bahran is kind and patient, the ladies in the center city office are so friendly and outgoing, I dont mind going to center city for my 20 minute follow up appointments!

4. Pennsylvania Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery LTD

pennsylvania-oral-maxillofacial-surgery-ltd

Website: https://www.paoms.com/walnut-street

Address: 1601 Walnut St., Ste 215

Contact: (215) 557-7949

Hours: Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Friday: 7:30 AM – 2:00 PM

Many patients prefer to visit a facility that focuses entirely on a narrow set of medical procedures.

If you’re one of them, you’ll be happy to know that Pennsylvania Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery LTD operates as a specialized center for dental implants and complex extractions.

They’re located right in Center City, supported by a broader network of regional locations. Their strategic location provides easy access for city residents and commuters alike.

The clinic also opens early in the morning to easily accommodate patients needing appointments before work.

If you’re undergoing a major facial procedure and need extensive recovery support, setting up services like home health care in Philadelphia pairs well with the dedicated treatment you receive here.

A notable downside is their limited weekend availability. The office closes early on Fridays at 2:00 PM, which makes it difficult to secure a late-afternoon appointment at the end of the week.

Pros

  • Exclusively focused on implants and surgery
  • Accessible Center City location
  • Early morning appointment slots available
  • Broad network of regional offices

Cons

  • Early closure on Fridays

Customer Reviews:

“Knowledgeable, professional…”

The staff is friendly, professional and courteous.  Dr. Miller is the best in the business!  He is knowledgeable, professional, concerned about his patients and is available to answer any questions, concerns or needs that may occur prior to and after surgery. I trust his judgment, skill  and abilities when it comes to performing implant surgical procedures.

As good as a tooth extraction can be. This practice operates very professionally.

Three months later: I just had my implant surgery. I was amazed at how easy and low-stress the experience was. Dr Miller and his team are the best!

5. The Philadelphia Dentist

the-philadelphia-dentist

Website: https://www.thephiladelphiadentist.com/

Address: 7718 Castor Avenue

Contact: (215) 342-7718

Hours: Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Friday to Sunday: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Dental emergencies rarely happen at convenient times, making accessible care a massive priority for many patients.

The Philadelphia Dentist stands out by offering emergency oral surgery and tooth extractions 365 days a year, starting promptly at 7:00 AM.

I personally had to rush to their office on a Sunday morning for an urgent extraction, and their quick response provided immediate relief.

Led by Dr. Lee Schriftman and Dr. Javier Ambriz, the clinic utilizes panoramic X-rays during initial evaluations to accurately assess bone levels and impacted wisdom teeth.

They also provide complimentary nitrous oxide sedation with their treatments to help keep you relaxed at no additional charge.

While their daily presence is impressive, their weekend hours are somewhat brief. The office operates with restricted afternoon availability from Friday to Sunday, closing completely by 1:00 PM.

Pros

  • Open 365 days a year
  • Guarantees same-day emergency appointments
  • Includes complimentary nitrous oxide sedation
  • Utilizes advanced panoramic X-rays

Cons

  • Closes early on Fridays and weekends

Customer Reviews:

“Highly recommend them”

I had an emergency and needed a root canal and crown. My regular dentist was unavailable and I was in pain. I could have been seen in the same day but my schedule wasn’t as available as theirs. My Doctor not only completed the root canal and crown but made an adjustment to my teeth that improved my smile. I highly recommend them. I went to the Castor Avenue location
