We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Product Variety: I assessed the range of brands and styles each supplier carries to ensure you have plenty of design choices. This helps ensure you can find the exact color and texture to match your home layout.

Local Availability: I made sure each business has a real, physical location right here in the city, making pickups and deliveries straightforward. Dealing with local inventory cuts down on long shipping delays and heavy transport fees.

Expert Support: I looked for teams with knowledgeable staff members who can help guide your project planning and material estimates. Having an expert look over your calculations saves a lot of headaches before you buy.

Pricing Transparency: I focused on suppliers that provide clear, upfront quotes rather than hiding extra fees down the line. Knowing your expenses early makes managing your home improvement budget much easier.

Reviews & Reputation: I checked consistent feedback from local homeowners and contractors who used these services. Looking at real community experiences highlights which teams truly deliver on their promises.

Upgrading your outdoor space can feel overwhelming, especially when you want materials that will stand up to Philadelphia’s winters without rotting or fading.

Choosing the right composite decking supplier is the first step toward creating a beautiful, low-maintenance retreat, whether you plan to build it yourself or hire a contractor.

Much like researching the top car wash shops in Philadelphia or the best phone repair shops in Philadelphia for a fast fix, a little homework goes a long way.

To help you get started, I’ve rounded up the city’s top composite decking shops so you can shop with confidence and build a deck that will look great for years to come.

How much does composite decking cost in Philadelphia?

In Philadelphia, composite decking materials typically cost about $30 to $60 per square foot. For a fully installed project, expect to pay roughly $90 or more per square foot, depending on the design and site conditions.

Expense TypeEstimated Cost per Square Foot
Materials Only$30 to $60
Fully Installed Project$90 or more

Best customer service

Hands down some of the best customer service for lumber and building materials.

Placed a quote online at 7am responded by 9:45am with a phone call and email notifying me that the file I attached with my request couldn’t be viewed. I was able to resend and received my quote within the hour. Big box stores can’t come close to this level of service!

Address: 3622 Genesee PI

Contact: 215 350 2885

Hours: 24 Hours

Large outdoor projects can feel daunting, especially when you’re trying to coordinate designers, suppliers, and installers on your own. Expert General Contracting simplifies the process by handling every phase of the build in-house.

From the initial design to permitting and final construction, the team manages the entire project so homeowners can focus on the exciting parts.

During a recent conversation about a future deck layout, I was particularly impressed by the company’s use of 3D modeling. Seeing the dimensions and overall design before construction begins makes planning much easier.

They even excel at incorporating low-maintenance composite materials into attractive, weather-resistant structures that are built to last.

Expert General Contracting also takes care of local permits and backs their work with a warranty covering both labor and materials.

Just keep in mind that the company specializes in full-service projects, so they don’t offer supply-only sales or partial assistance.

Pros

  • Low-maintenance synthetic material options
  • Handles municipal permitting processes
  • Advanced 3D project modeling visualization
  • Warranty covering labor and material defects

Cons

  • Full-scale management approach

Customer Reviews:

Definitely recommend

Mike and Expert General Contracting did an excellent job replacing our old pressure treated deck.  Within two weeks, the team completed demolition, put up a brand new frame, and fully finished a new, larger, beautiful composite deck!  During construction we pointed out a minor concern, and Mike was very responsive and quickly corrected the issue.  We have been enjoying the deck thoroughly during the nice spring weather.  We would definitely recommend Expert for deck construction.

I couldn’t be happier

I chose Expert General Contracting to build my dream deck. I briefly explained what I was looking for and the team far exceeded my expectations!  Incredible workmanship. I couldn’t be happier! They are truly master’s of their craft! Their teams is extremely talented, professional, clean, responsive, and detail oriented. I would choose them over and over again! I highly recommend their services!

4. Precision Decks & Remodeling

Website: https://www.precisiondecks-remodeling.com

Address: 100 N 18th St #300

Contact: 215 620 8288

Hours: Monday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Tight city lots and rooftop spaces call for a specialized approach, and Precision Decks & Remodeling is well equipped for the task.

The team concentrates on elevated outdoor structures that require advanced engineering and careful planning. Licensed architects oversee the structural design process, ensuring that local regulations are met with ease.

Another thing that I love about them is that clients receive comprehensive project management from start to finish. The process begins with an in-depth site consultation and concludes only after the final municipal inspection.

Unfortunately, their focus on complex urban projects does mean that a basic backyard deck may not warrant this level of expertise. You’ll also need to call for current hours and availability.

Pros

  • Licensed architects for structural planning
  • Specializes in waterproof rooftop surfaces
  • End-to-end city inspection management
  • Comprehensive on-site feasibility consultations

Cons

  • Not ideal for basic ground-level builds
  • Must call first to check availability

Moisture is often the biggest threat to an elevated deck, which is why Philadelphia Quality Roofing takes a distinctly specialized approach.

By applying the same principles used in high-performance roofing systems, the company creates outdoor structures that are built to shed water and resist long-term damage.

Careful attention to drainage details and protective membranes is a hallmark of their work. Professional certifications from major membrane manufacturers allow the team to provide extended warranties on many of the materials they install.

They also manage permitting and municipal paperwork, ensuring that every project meets local requirements.

Homeowners should note, though, that the company’s methods are shaped by their roofing background, making them quite different from conventional deck-building practices.

Pros

  • Advanced structural moisture protection
  • Certifications from major membrane manufacturers
  • Extended manufacturer warranties on materials
  • Handles municipal building regulations paperwork

Cons

  • Methodology differs from traditional carpentry
