The Best Prenatal Massage Clinics in Philadelphia Moms-to-Be Love

We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.
  • Therapist Expertise and Credentials: We prioritized practices that employ practitioners with documented certifications in maternal and postpartum care. Specialized training ensures that the specific anatomical needs and safety protocols for expecting mothers are strictly followed.
  •
  • Atmosphere and Comfort Adaptability: Finding a relaxing environment is crucial, so we looked for spaces offering specialized equipment like custom bolsters or supportive cushions. Accommodating a growing belly safely is just as important as the soothing ambiance of the treatment room itself.
  •
  • Service Accessibility and Scheduling: We considered the flexibility of booking options, including evening and weekend availability, to accommodate busy working parents. Centers offering varied session lengths were favored for their ability to fit smoothly into tight daily schedules.
  •
  • Pricing and Value: Evaluating the overall cost relative to the specialized care provided helped us determine true value for local mothers. We noted businesses that provide wellness memberships or introductory rates to make long-term care more accessible.
  •
  • Holistic and Extended Support: Practices providing added value, such as postpartum recovery plans or self-care education, ranked higher in our final assessment. Comprehensive care helps clients maintain physical benefits long after they leave the massage table.

Expecting a baby is an incredible journey, but it certainly takes a physical toll on your body. Between the persistent backaches and overall physical fatigue, finding gentle relief becomes a top priority.

Finding true expert care during pregnancy can feel like searching for a needle in a haystack, but Judy Moon and Associates provides an exceptional level of maternal support. Their therapists hold rare certifications from industry leaders like Carol Osborne, and their deluxe package even sends you home with premium organic products.

I personally treated myself to this deluxe session, and peeling away the physical stress through their integrated techniques felt deeply rejuvenating.

While the personalized boutique atmosphere is wonderfully comforting, it’s worth noting that their highly specialized services come with a higher premium price tag. Because their team is small and highly sought after, booking an appointment on short notice with a specific niche therapist can sometimes be quite difficult.

Pros

  • Expert maternity and postpartum support
  • Highly certified and specialized staff
  • Customizable session lengths
  • Comfortable and sacred boutique environment

Cons

  • Higher premium pricing structure
  • Limited niche specialist availability

Customer Reviews

I had a great experience at Judy Moon. The atmosphere and ambiance were great, and everything was so clean. I was seen promptly at my scheduled time. Gwyn was amazing! I went in for a prenatal massage at 33weeks and she worked on all of my problem areas amazingly. In my experience, many places that offer prenatal massages are apprehensive to apply a good amount of pressure, but Gwyn applied the perfect amount of pressure! After walking around in pain for weeks, I left feeling like a million bucks! I will definitely be returning very soon. Thank you, Gwyn.

I went here for a prenatal massage at 25 weeks with Gwyn. The massage was wonderful. Gwyn positioned me with several pillows in a very comfortable position. The pressure used for the massage was perfect. And overall , the massage was relaxing. I highly recommend this location for prenatal massages

Lying on your stomach becomes an impossible dream as your pregnancy progresses, making the face-down option here an absolute revelation for sore backs. Using a specialized cushion system with anatomical scoop-outs, Body Restoration Spa allows expectant mothers to comfortably rest face-down while therapists induce a signature restorative state.

The clinical approach they take toward alleviating active-lifestyle discomforts rivals the focus of specialized personal trainers, showing a profound understanding of maternity care.

However, if you’re seeking early relief, you should know that they maintain a strict policy against performing prenatal sessions during the first trimester. You will need to wait until your second trimester to book, and their postpartum sessions require advance medical clearance and extra intake time.

Pros

  • Face-down positioning with specialized cushions
  • Targeted relief for structural discomforts
  • Extended postpartum support up to one year
  • Inclusive spa lounge amenities

Cons

  • Strict first-trimester service restriction

Holly is AMAZING. Went to her a few times for a prenatal massage and couldn’t wait to get back to her for my first postpartum treatment. Perfect pressure, so relaxing. And she’s incredibly kind! Thank you, Holly! See you soon!!!

I had a wonderful prenatal massage with Kendra! She was very attentive and made the experience completely relaxing and comfortable. This was my first prenatal massage so I wasn’t sure what exactly to expect (I’ve had regular massages in the past) but I felt like I was able to get the full massage experience I was looking for. Highly recommend.

Saturday – Sunday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Searching for an inclusive healing environment in Philly leads directly to South Philly Wellness, an affirming sanctuary that expertly merges Western science with global traditions.

Beyond their welcoming atmosphere, they offer the highly specialized Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy (ATMAT) and use unscented products perfect for sensory sensitivities.

I spoke with a fellow mother who visited for a session, and she described the emotional safety provided by their unique side-lying pillow system as profoundly restorative.

Despite their expansive offerings, mothers recovering from a C-section must wait until their incision is fully closed and healed for at least six weeks.

Additionally, the initial entry cost for their specialized abdominal therapies is quite steep, and certain services are strictly prohibited for copper intrauterine device (IUD) users.

Pros

  • Safe side-lying pillow system
  • Available throughout all three trimesters
  • Sensory-sensitive organic products
  • Trauma-informed and inclusive space

Cons

  • Strict C-section healing wait times
  • High entry cost for specialized therapies
  • Some services not available for IUD users

Customer Reviews

Absolutely love Jennifer and South Philly Wellness! I started getting prenatal massages and she always takes the time to check in with me, what I’m looking to focus on, and tips for after my session. Definitely recommend!

Jennifer was INCREDIBLE for my prenatal massage. She really took into consideration what I was struggling with pain wise, and as well as any other preferences for when I get massages, I cannot wait to go back for postpartum.

Customer Reviews

I had a prenatal massage with Valentina while visiting Philly. I’ve never had one before, but it was so relaxing. She was very personable, professional and made sure I felt comfortable the entire time. I recommend her to any and every pregnant woman who needs a prenatal massage. The environment here is also very relaxing and soothing. I would definitely come back if we visit Philly again!

Had a magical prenatal massage with Penny and it made me more relaxed than I’ve been in the months since getting pregnant. She was very aware of how to take care of my bump and was able to massage while I laid on my back and side. Highly recommend for any momma to be (or just anyone in general!)

Their integrated approach thoughtfully combines standard and deep tissue techniques to alleviate chronic muscle tension while promoting deep relaxation.

For those wanting to maintain a regular wellness routine, their affordable memberships and first-visit discounts make therapeutic work wonderfully accessible.

On the downside, expectant mothers in their first trimester will have to look elsewhere, as the center strictly enforces trimester restrictions.

Customer Reviews

I’ve been coming for my prenatal massages and my therapist, Malila has been amazing!!! They’re attentive to all of the areas that has been bothering me during this pregnancy and is super nice. The staff and the atmosphere is absolutely wonderful. My partner just went there for a deep tissue massage and he enjoyed it as well. We will be coming back more services and to definitely for the new dry sauna experience after the pregnancy.

I drove almost a hour to get a 90 minute prenatal massage & yes, it was worth the drive! Yuuki found every knot on my body and massaged the tension away. I will definitely come back.
