Address: 752 S. 2nd St
Contact: (215) 922-5323
Hours: Daily: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Sanctuary On 2nd is located inside a beautifully preserved Victorian-inspired setting, creating a comforting environment that honors an unhurried, simpler time.
When I visited this space last month, the quiet atmosphere instantly lowered my stress levels before the treatment even started.
They feature excellent specialized offerings, including an aching muscles wrap and options designed for children. The focus is on delivering customized therapeutic remedies that can make your daily stresses fade away immediately.
But you should keep in mind that they don’t offer conventional styles like Swedish or Shiatsu massage. If you’re specifically looking for those traditional modalities, you might want to explore other spots around town.
Customer Reviews:
Highly recommend
Daniil was incredible. He was intentional and intuitive with his massage and paid attention to my comfort level the whole time. I have had therapists in the past that leaned into trying to force out the knots and tension and left me bruised and worse than when I came in. Daniil was thorough with his approach and truly left me feeling relaxed and restored while also attending to high tension areas that I have been carrying. Would highly recommend him to anyone and plan to return!

Would definitely return
Sam was great! They made me feel comfortable during the massage and gave me good feedback about possible causes for my muscle tightness and limited range of motion in certain areas. I would definitely return.

Can’t speak highly enough about our experience
We just got back from our first couple’s massage at Sacred Paradise Spa and I couldn’t be happier or more relaxed! The facility is beautiful. The owner, Carolina, was so nice, and our massage therapists, Mike and Victoria, were incredible! I honestly can’t speak highly enough about our experience. I can’t wait to book our next appointment.

100% recommend
Absolutely amazing! The vibe is amazing, and very pretty rooms. I believe I had Victoria, she was the absolute sweetest. This was my first time getting a massage, Im a teen girl and going in at first I was nervous because of the idea of getting undressed, but she was very respectful, and mindful to sensitive spots. The massage was amazing.
I 100% recommend Victoria and Juana. They’re great :).
Side note- Smells absolutely delicious in there

3. Therapivity: Integrated Massage, Stretch, & Lymphatic Drainage

Website: http://www.therapivity.com/
Address: 714 Reed St
Contact: +1 (267) 456-2034
Website Hours: Sunday, Tuesday to Saturday: By Appointment Only
Athletes and busy professionals looking for an intense somatic release can find relief in Therapivity. This recovery lab was founded by Dana Garrett, a former collegiate athlete and United States (U.S.) Army veteran.
Her practice uses an integrated, science-driven approach designed for anyone needing profound physical restoration. A friend of mine who trains for local marathons told me that the targeted sports therapies here completely transformed her recovery routine.
I like how they utilize advanced tools like red-light therapy alongside compression technology to maximize your healing process. It’s also exceptionally convenient if you already work out since the center sits right inside Fitness Works Gym.
However, finding a spot for your car can become a major headache. The property has a small parking lot, making it a real challenge to secure a slot during peak hours.

Hidden gem
What a hidden gem! Shana has such special hands. I felt very relaxed the moment she started working on my lymphatic drainage massage. It’s located in a fun part of the Old City and you can walk straight over to Franklin Ice Cream afterwards 🙂

5. Pain Away of Philly

Website: http://painawayofphilly.com/
Address: 936 Arch St.
Contact: (267) 690-4138
Hours: Daily: 10:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Chronic physical discomfort meets its match at Pain Away of Philly, a practice backed by over thirty years of combined traditional experience.
They focus heavily on Tui-Na medical massage and comprehensive Chinese medicine to target the root causes of pain.
Clients can enjoy fantastic complimentary perks here, such as a free fire cupping treatment when booking a standard one-hour session.
They even provide a free dry sauna experience, complete with clean clothing and private showers to enhance your relaxation.
The cleanliness here is top-notch, featuring freshly laundered sheets for every single guest.
But a notable drawback involves their specialized combination packages. While these packages offer great value, they don’t actually include a full body massage, which might disappoint you if you wanted an all-inclusive experience.

Coming back soon
I booked a couples massage with my boyfriend and we came here. It was our first massage and wow. They did such a great job! We didn’t even need to tell them what points caused pain because they already knew. Each massage was tailored to our individual needs. Definitely will be coming back soon!

Blown away by my experience
I’m literally blown away by my experience here getting a massage and cupping here. I had no idea I was carrying around so much tension in my back. The bruising post-cupping was a bit more than I expected but I decided to trust the process and I woke up today a new woman. I’ve passed by this shop so many times and am sad I didn’t come sooner! I definitely see myself coming back again.
