Darling Jack’s Tavern is all about serving up classic tavern food with a fresh, modern twist, taking those favorites everyone remembers and making them feel new again.

Their happy hour is a real highlight, running Monday to Friday from 4 pm to 7 pm, where you can get the deals at the bar or at the outdoor tables. That gives you plenty of time to grab some awesome snacks and drinks without feeling rushed.

The place has a warm, cozy vibe, so it’s perfect for hanging out with friends or just chilling after work.

While the specials make it easy to eat well and save money, keep in mind that these happy hour deals are only available in certain seating areas.

Also, during busy times, like after work, the outdoor spots fill up really quickly. That means you have to get there early if you want to snag a good seat.

Pros

  • Runs five days a week
  • Fills you up with hearty portions
  • Serves craft cocktails for eight dollars
  • Features lively outdoor seating tables

Cons

  •
  • Deals are limited to specific seating areas

The happy hour prices were great

I’m so glad I don’t live near here or I’d be eating here quite often. Everything was delicious. We both got pasta dishes and they were excellent. The roasted beets were terrific. The happy hour prices were great and we both enjoyed a couple of cocktails. The apple bread pudding was a perfect way to end the meal.

Great service, delicious food

I heard tales of the amazing French onion soup, and it lived up to the hype! Visited around 6PM on a Thursday in late February and the place was packed. Found a stool to squeeze into at the bar and ordered a happy hour special old fashioned while I waited (not long!) for my soup and the braised short rib cannelloni. Place has a friendly, neighborhood vibe. Great service. Delicious food. Definitely recommend!

Walking into Harp & Crown feels like you’re entering a mix of classic elegance and modern style, thanks to the beautiful glass facade and luxurious old-world details.

Downstairs, you’ll find a cozy, sophisticated atmosphere that instantly makes the place feel unique.

During our last visit to the lounge, we tried their creative cocktails and chef-inspired small plates, and honestly, the flavors were on point. The prices were refreshingly reasonable for such a fancy spot, which we really appreciated.

Just keep in mind, though, there’s a one-hour time limit on certain tables.

While the staff is always friendly about it, the strict timing does make it harder to really settle in if you’re hoping for a long, relaxed evening.

Pros

  • Available six days a week
  •
  • Savory chef-driven small plates
  • Massive ceilings and an open environment

Cons

  • Strict one-hour table limit
  • Relaxation time can feel rushed

This place for happy hour eats and drinks

The mac n cheese is so delicious, definitely my favorite dish. The noodle is unique and seems hand made, adding to a special texture. The lamb meatballs were pretty tasty. I also enjoyed the ricotta, which comes with some olive oil mixed in and contributes to its rich, savory flavor. Both the burger and spicy chicken sandwich were juicy and delicious. I definitely strongly recommend this place for happy hour eats and drinks!

Happy hour has great deals, and service is fast and friendly

Dark and moody vibes with elevated American cuisine. Large bar and dinning room with eclectic decor. Menu features bar food and entrees. Pizzas are made fresh in a full pizza oven. Happy hour has great deals, and service is fast and friendly.

  • Sunday 3 pm-1 am, Monday to Thursday 3 pm-1 am. Friday & Saturday 3 pm-2 am

Happy Hour:

  • Monday to Sunday 3 pm-6 pm

Watching a game at Bar-Ly Chinatown feels electrifying, especially since they’re the only sports bar in the neighborhood offering an afternoon buzzing with energy.

They stand out for their impressive draft beer lineup and international food menu that really goes beyond your typical bar snacks.

It’s also super convenient to find a deal here, since happy hour specials run all week, starting early in the afternoon. And with so many drink options, everyone in your crew’ll find something they like while you all catch the action on the screens.

Just remember that sometimes the menu details change without warning, so a few draft beers might unexpectedly be left out of the promotion.

Pros

  • Runs every single day
  • Massive variety of drink options
  • Creative Asian-fusion bar food
  • Discounted parking for customers

Cons

  • Inconsistent daily menu inclusions
  • Unannounced policy changes

Definitely the top pick of my happy hour spots

This was my first time going to Bar-Ly and experiencing their happy hour. I must say this place was a hit, definitely the top pick of my happy hour spots. I was amazed at how good the fried rice and lo Mein was. The beef skewers was nice and tender, the drinks had just enough alcohol and the cheesesteak egg rolls had great flavor. The chicken tacos had an amazing cheese pull but the chicken was a little on the overcooked/tough side. Overall my experience was good and I WILL return!

Great happy hour, or any hour

Great Happy Hour ! Or any hour

Martinis are a must here ! The finger food is the best . Wings very delicious . Not much music but you can use the Touch Tunes app and play your own music with a lil price lol

4. Oyster House

Website: https://oysterhousephilly.com/

Address: 1516 Sansom St.

Contact: 215-567-7683

Hours:

  • Tuesday to Thursday 11:30 am-9 pm, Friday & Saturday 11:30 am-10 pm

Happy Hour:

  • Tuesday to Friday 4 pm-6 pm

Honoring a rich culinary legacy, Oyster House has been family-run by Sam Mink since 1947 and remains a go-to for fresh seafood in Center City.

While their raw bar is legendary, their happy hour offers much more than oysters. From 4 to 6 pm (Tuesday through Friday), the bar area buzzes with people enjoying rotating snacks, creative cocktails, and $2 oysters.

You can even grab a seat right at the raw bar because watching the shuckers in action is its own kind of entertainment!

On top of that, no reservations are needed, so you can just walk in and claim your spot.

Just remember that while the $2 oyster deal is awesome, prices return to normal once happy hour ends, so it’s best to make the most of those two hours.

Also, things can get pretty busy, and service might slow down a bit.

Pros

  • Fresh two-dollar oysters
  • Ideal central location
  • Engaging raw bar seating
  • Excellent rotating drink specials

Cons

  • Service slows when it’s crowded
  • Regular prices are fairly steep

Fun watching the staff shuck the oysters while we were eating

My friend and I went there for happy hour, and the front desk staff was very friendly. We sat at the bar, and the oysters were so fresh. It was also fun watching the staff shuck the oysters while we were eating. All the other dishes were soooo tasty as well! Definitely coming back for dinner next time.

Everything we tried was absolutely delicious

Highly recommend as everything we tried was absolutely delicious. They have a happy hour from 4-6pm. Recommend getting a dozen oysters but trying two of each of the specialty ones on the menu. My favorites were from Maine. Definitely consider for one or two guests to order multiple small plates and eat family style as you truly want to try all of the flavors. The octopus in ramen was tender and mouthwatering good. The tuna carpacchio was fresh and perfection with the saltiness of the capers and the citrus with the lime juice.

5. SAMPAN Graffiti Bar

Website: https://www.sampanphilly.com/#graffitibar

Address: 124 S 13th St.

Contact: 215-732-3501

Hours:

  • Sunday to Tuesday 4 pm-10 pm,  Wednesday & Thursday 4 pm-11 pm, Friday & Saturday 4 pm-12 am

Happy Hour

  • Monday to Friday 4 pm-7 pm

Every Monday through Friday from 4 to 7 pm, Graffiti Bar fills up with an energetic crowd savoring great drink deals. The happy hour features daily-changing cocktail specials, along with discounted wine and beer.

While you’ll hear plenty about Chef Schulson’s creative small plates (which you can try outside of happy hour as well), it’s the drink specials that really set happy hour apart here.

Many rave about the large punch bowls (great for sharing, even if they’re not a part of the happy hour), which add to the festive vibe.

But do take note to double-check your bill. While the bar is known for its fun, lively energy and wallet-friendly prices during happy hour, we’ve heard reports of the occasional mix-ups with charges.

Pros

  • Daily afternoon specials
  • Highly affordable food bites
  • Fun large drink bowls
  • Unique hidden outdoor setting

Cons

  • Inconsistent drink pricing transparency
  • Occasional bill calculation errors

Such a nice vibe here with really good happy hour!

Such a nice vibe here with really good happy hour!! We tried some dumplings, skewers, and fun drinks! There’s not too much room, but at the same time, it’s more cozy and intimate. I highly recommend!!!

A great spot for happy hour with friends!

Graffiti Bar is a great spot for happy hour with friends! The vibe is super cool and the space feels cozy yet lively. Their tequila and vodka fishbowls are a must-try — perfect for sharing with 2-3 friends to kick off the night. The Pan-Asian food is delicious, and everything pairs perfectly with their creative cocktails. Definitely a go-to spot for drinks, good food, and a chill atmosphere!
