During my last visit, I noticed how the welcoming atmosphere encourages shoppers to stay and explore without feeling rushed.
The staff even uses their social media presence to educate followers about historical aesthetics, helping bridge the gap between classic styles and modern trends.
Just be aware that liquidating your own collection here requires some patience, as you must submit an online form or book an appointment beforehand.

Hands down the best vintage shop to go to in this part of town! I love spending the day in the Italian market and going to goods! The selection of art, home decor, furniture and ancient artifacts are really rare and whoever picks the stuff has excellent taste… this is NOT thrifted marked-up junk. If you love an eclectic mix of odd and mundane historical artifacts, Anastacia’s Antiques is a dream come true. What started as modest sidewalk sales has grown into a massive 2,400-square-foot showroom that regularly rotates its unusual inventory.
I love how the owners maintain a highly authentic, unpretentious atmosphere that honors their roots of selling salvaged merchandise.
Plus, the staff is always willing to look at interesting items brought directly into the shop by local residents. They even travel out to your location to evaluate larger estate collections if you make arrangements ahead of time.
Just keep in mind that the local parking authority heavily enforces street parking in this neighborhood, so you might have to park a few blocks away.

Tons of surprises and goodies to be found in every corner
This store is an absolute DREAM. Whether you want neon signs, buzzing electrical decor, vintage glass eyes (they have tons!), ventriloquist dummies, Victorian jewelry, teeth, furniture, or hard to find delicate antique items, they have it in abundance.
It’s beautifully laid out with tons of surprises and goodies to be found in every corner. The employees are so kind and well versed in what they carry. It’s deliciously creepy in the truly best way. I’ll definitely visit again!

My husband and I have bought several pieces from Anastacia and Scott since moving to Philly. Each item is quirky, historic, and a conversation starter in our home. Coming from another city that doesn’t have as much character as Philadelphia, a place like Anastacia’s is a such lovely channel to bring a little bit of that history we see outside into our home. Housed inside the historic 1920s Atwater Kent Manufacturing Company building, Material Culture operates as a retail showroom and an auction house specializing in fine art and ethnographic items.
In this large facility, they focus on sustainable, bench-made wood furniture that can be easily repaired or adapted to fit modern homes.
If you work alongside commercial interior designers in Philadelphia, this space provides incredible inspiration for large-scale projects.
You can also purchase items directly from the retail floor or participate in exciting live auctions for rarer pieces. It’s notable how the team provides incredibly thorough condition reports before any bidding starts, so you know exactly what you’re getting.
The only real drawback is the steep 25% buyer’s premium added to the final hammer price if you win an auction lot.
