The 5 Graphic Designers in Philadelphia for Eye-Catching Designs

We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Portfolio Quality & Problem‑Solving: I reviewed their portfolio to see whether it showcased thoughtful case studies rather than just visuals, demonstrating how they solved design problems.

Technical Skillset: I assessed their proficiency in relevant software, including Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Figma. I also evaluated their understanding of design principles, such as typography, layout, and color theory.

Versatility & Consistency: I reviewed a range of project types, including print, web, and branding. I also noted whether their quality remained consistent across all work.

Workflow & Communication: I evaluated how they handled feedback, their turnaround times, and the collaboration tools they used to determine how well they integrated into my workflow.

Pricing Structure & Transparency: I examined their hourly rates, revision policies, and licensing rights to ensure budgeting was clear and predictable.

Finding a good graphic designer can get frustrating. I once spent hours scrolling through portfolios only to end up with a “modern” logo draft that looked like something pulled from a forgotten PowerPoint theme.

That’s when I realized the problem isn’t a lack of talent here, it’s sorting through all the noise to find the people who actually know what they’re doing.

So to save you the trial-and-error (and the questionable designs), I pulled together a list of the best graphic designers in Philadelphia. These are the ones who deliver clean, creative work without the guesswork or the drama.

How much do graphic designers charge in Philadelphia?

Graphic designers in Philadelphia typically charge $25–$40/hour for freelancers, while full-time salaries average $60K–$80K/year. Project rates, like logos or websites, can range from $300 to $10,000+.

Creative Repute is an award-winning graphic design agency. They blew me away with how much they care about accessibility. I could tell they weren’t just making things look nice, but they always think about how different people experience design, which felt refreshing.

Their work spans brochures and infographics to social media graphics and ads. But what really got me was how they transformed a dense, data-heavy report for the Nathan Cummings Foundation into something I actually wanted to read.

They have even collaborated with brands and organizations like Comcast, the NFL, and Mural Arts Philadelphia. You know they are playing in the big leagues.

I also love that they do unconventional branding, like public art installations. It’s not something you see every day, and it makes a real community impact.

Their visuals are smart, clear, and make complicated information feel manageable, which is rare.

The only thing to keep in mind is that this level of thoughtful, polished work isn’t cheap.  If you’re working with a tight budget, it’s worth considering.

Pros

  • Focuses on design accessibility
  • Offers diverse services
  • Transforms complex data into engaging visuals
  • Offers unique branding
  • Collaborated with the NFL and Comcast

Cons

  • Premium pricing

The entire design process was fantastic

“I recently had the privilege of working with Creative Repute to produce signage designs. The entire design process from start-to-finish was fantastic: the artist who worked with us was extremely responsive to our questions and needs every step of the way, and ultimately really helped us to turn our ideas and concepts into something beautiful. I could not be happier with the Creative Repute!”

Consistently responsive and patient

“The team at Creative Repute has remained consistently responsive and patient as we all adjust to the changes happening in the world due to Covid-19. They creatively redesigned our Save-The-Date to accommodate a virtual event because we are unsure about when people will feel comfortable meeting face to face again. I appreciate the project manager’s uplifting, calm, and positive outlook and the quality of their team’s design work. I highly recommend.”

If you’re looking for an agency with free consultations that makes branding and web design accessible, Pop The Pixel is a solid choice.

Their web design is built for conversions. I used them for a project, and they optimized our site for SEO, made it fully responsive, and set it up so I could handle updates myself using WordPress with drag-and-drop tools.

On the branding side, Pop The Pixel really shines. I didn’t use them for logos personally, but I saw examples of their work. They create custom designs, from modern monograms to combination marks, and build entire identity systems for their clients.

I also checked out their content marketing services. They run strategy-driven campaigns across social media, email marketing, and content scheduling, with clear KPIs such as lead generation and conversions.

Just a heads-up—while they say their web design fits any budget, I know some clients who chose the cheapest packages and said they didn’t get all the advanced features or the same level of polish.

Pros

  • Offers free consultations
  • Accessible branding and web design
  • Conversion-focused
  • SEO optimization and responsive sites
  • User-friendly WordPress tools
  • Strong branding capabilities

Cons

  • Budget packages may lack advanced features and polish

Picks up the phone and has a real-time conversation

“Adam from Pop The Pixel has been absolutely wonderful helping me design a label for my product. He does beautiful work. It is so refreshing to have someone who can pick up the phone and have a real time conversation. Pop The Pixel is working on my website and I am so excited to see how it turns out. I cannot say enough good things about this company! I highly recommend them!”

– Amber Gallagher, Google Review

Listened to my goals and took the time to understand my vision

“Pop the Pixel has been a valuable partner in helping me grow my practice’s online presence. Adam really listened to my goals and took the time to understand my vision. The website design was creative, professional, and perfectly aligned with my brand. In addition, SEO strategies and digital marketing guidance have already made a difference as my site is now more visible, allowing me to attract more clients. Adam guided me step-by-step, was responsive to every question, and made the process feel easy and collaborative. I’m very happy with the results and highly recommend Pop the Pixel to anyone looking to take their online presence to the next level.”

South Philly Creative Studio is a full-service design studio offering not just graphic design, but also web design, branding, and creative strategy.

Their UI/UX and web development services strike a balance between aesthetics and functionality. This includes custom coding and CMS platforms like WordPress, Shopify, and Magento.

They also bring brands to life through motion graphics, adding energy and personality to digital campaigns. Another customer shared that their new logo and brand identity system made their marketing materials feel cohesive and professional for the first time.

Their team’s expertise with tools like Figma, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Lightroom shows they can deliver polished digital and print projects alike.

However, as a smaller, locally focused studio, they may have limited capacity for very large or high-volume projects (smaller: 2-4 weeks; larger: several months). This could lead to longer turnaround times or less flexibility compared to bigger agencies.

Pros

  • Full-service studio
  • Balanced UI/UX design
  • Expertise in CMS platforms
  • Motion graphics for campaigns
  • Cohesive brand identity
  • Skilled with design tools

Cons

  • Limited capacity for big projects
  • Longer turnaround times

Incredible printing experience

“I had an incredible printing experience with them. Megan is personable, highly communicative, and detail-oriented. I work for a large company and needed a last minute print job of over 200 name tags and 150 table tents for an event. I was able to meet with her before 9am, which is difficult to find for printing imo. I didn’t have enough materials and she was able to procure more for the job and complete it in the same day. She wrapped everything in plastic and boxed it, which was incredibly helpful because it was raining. I can’t recommend them highly enough.”

– William Fitzgerald, Google Review

Reasonable pricing and excellent customer service

“Today, I needed a document printed asap. I’m so grateful to have found this hidden gem in my neighborhood. Megan was a pleasure to work with. The prices are reasonable and the customer service is excellent. I highly recommend for graphic design, or any office/notary/detailed business you might need a professional for!”

Pixel Parlor is a woman‑owned design studio that focuses on purpose-driven branding. It’s a Certified B Corporation (“B-Corp”), so you can ensure that they meet certain standards of social and environmental performance.

As a matter of fact, my friend needed a brand overhaul. The team built a cohesive visual system and strategy. They set it up so my friend could manage basic updates without a developer.

Their web design and UX work also stood out. I saw firsthand how the site was not only visually polished but also incredibly easy to navigate.

On the print side, they create marketing collateral, environmental graphics, and placemaking materials that support cohesive branding across all touchpoints.

Another thing that really caught my eye was their experiential design. They transformed my friend’s office space with an installation that brought the brand to life.

The one thing I noticed is that their portfolio shows limited, measurable results, such as SEO improvements or conversion metrics. So, while you can trust them to deliver thoughtful, storytelling-driven designs, it might be harder to pinpoint direct ROI.

Pros

  • Woman-owned studio
  • Certified B Corporation
  • Purpose-driven branding
  • Cohesive visual systems
  • User-friendly web design
  • Various print services
  • Offer experiential design for branding

Cons

  • Limited measurable results

Very sociable and respectful

“Pixel Parlor is an amazing fit if you want to work with a studio that will allow you to be creative AND effective in your brand. From copywriting, to graphic design, to website development: I always felt like I was working with creative professionals who were committed to channeling the best of me into the brand platform we developed together. The team kept me on task and on budget without squeezing out the creative spirit of our project. Jenn Richey Nicholas and the Pixel Parlor studio truly believe in something, a code which permeates all they do. You just feel it. As a women-owned local business, a B-corp, they are actively engaged in helping small business owners like me put their best foot forward into the marketplace. Pixel Parlor will help you channel the best of you into your next project…”

– Nick Jerez, Google Review

They do beautiful work

“Coming from a long agency design career, I am picky (putting it mildly). Having done past contract work for Pixel Parlor however, I got a good glimpse at their inner workings which resulted in picking them for my new project. The deliverable quality across various mediums (be is digital, packaging or print) is outstanding. On-time performance is a given. Jenn and Andrew are mature industry veterans who understand the difference between trendy whims and turning my value proposition into substance and brand value. They have a knack for picking great talent to nurture. No shortcuts or recycled ideas here. It’s a different standard.”

Logos By Nick is run by Nick Saporito, a Philadelphia-based designer and educator with more than 10 years of logo design experience.

What I personally appreciated is his hands-on, collaborative approach to the design process. It kicks off with a client brief to determine the goals and preferences. He then drafts multiple logo concepts and refines them based on feedback.

One client mentioned that the process made them feel involved without being overwhelming.

Each client receives a comprehensive logo package. This includes vector formats (SVG, EPS) and raster formats (PNG, JPG), along with a branding guide explaining how to use each.

Beyond logos, Nick also offers supporting branding collateral, including business cards and social media graphics. He even vehicle wraps or packaging designs. This helps clients maintain a cohesive visual identity across different channels.

One limitation is that his focus is primarily on logos and identity design. If your business needs a more comprehensive branding, you might need to pair Nick’s excellent work with services from another agency.

Pros

  • Over 10 years of experience
  • Collaborative process
  • Comprehensive logo package
  • Branding collateral support
  • Cohesive visual identity

Cons

  • Focuses on logos only

Kept clear communication throughout the whole process

“Working with Nick was an excellent experience from start to finish. He was patient, responsive, and kept communication clear throughout the whole process, making the process stress free with unlimited revisions. The quality of his work was outstanding, truly 5 star service, and I would highly recommend him for any design needs.”

– Brian, Google Review

Delivered creative and professional results

“Nick delivered designs that were creative, professional, and exactly what I was looking for. He was quick to respond to emails, turned the project around much faster than expected, and his pricing was very fair. I couldn’t be happier with the results and highly recommend him.”
